![]() ![]() Pastor Johnson was employed by Commerce Bank in Kansas City for the last 15 years as Assistant Vice President of the Transit Department. He attended Johnson County Community College and Park University earning Associate of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Business Administration, respectively. Pastor Johnson had a desire to become a better provider for his family, so from 1981-1992 while being employed at the Ameribanc Data Services as a computer operator and supervisor, he decided to return to college to complete his education. In 1979 he returned to Kansas City and in 1985 he was united in marriage with his college sweetheart First Lady Oma Johnson. He obtained the rank of E5 infantry platoon Sergeant. In 1975 Pastor Johnson enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served in the military until 1979. ![]() He served in that capacity for two years. At the age of 19, Pastor Williams appointed him as Sunday school superintendent. He began his Christian experience under the late Moses Williams at the New Hope Baptist Church in Edwardsville, Kansas. Her heart is to pray to cause change and transformation in communities across the Greater K C Area.įirst confessed Christ in 1968 at the age of 16. Her current community role as the Vice President of the Board for Clay Countians for Inclusion (CC4I) reflects her lifelong compassion as a diversity champion advocating justice and racial equality.
